17 Purples were selected for All-State Choir, and five were selected for Jr. High All-State. They will be traveling to Louisville in February to participate in the 2026 KMEA All-State Choir.
Sophomore Trevor Schallert said the auditions consisted of singing in a quartet then moving on to sight reading.
Choir Director Joshua Wagner said he was extremely proud of every single person who auditioned.
“It’s the most BGHS has had in many, many years,” he said. “Even if they didn’t make it, it’s still good experience and the feedback gives them all something to work on, making them better singers.”
